IVO is an ambient lamp made of glazed stone-ware. Functionally it is an electric version of a candelabra however coming in an extremely reduced and contemporary shape. This shape certainly evokes associations of an ancient bridge and its arcs, like the “The Bridge on the Drina” in Ivo Andric’s famous novel.
The stone-ware body comes in different colors of matte glazes, and can be combined with a wide choice of globe-shaped light-bulbs.
As the shape is very unusual for ceramic objects, posing a number of material challenges, the design process involved elaborate trials to find a reliable method.

IVO ist eine Ambientelampe aus glasiertem Steinzeug. Funktionell ist es eine elektrische Version eines Kandelabers, jedoch in einer extrem reduzierten und zeitgemäßen Form. Diese Form erinnert sicherlich an eine alte Brücke und ihre Bögen, wie die “Brücke über die Drina” in Ivo Andrics berühmtem Roman. Der Steinzeug-Corpus ist in verschiedenen Farben mit matter Glasur erhältlich und kann mit einer großen Auswahl an kugelförmigen Glühbirnen kombiniert werden.
Da die Form für Keramikobjekte sehr ungewöhnlich ist und eine Reihe von Materialherausforderungen aufwirft, umfasste der Entwurfsprozess aufwendige Versuche, um eine zuverlässige Methode zu finden.
